Election '08: Barack Obama summed up well the perversity of Democratic Party thinking when he told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly that it is "neighborliness" for Washington to hike taxes on those who are "sitting pretty

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Someone needs to tell Obama we are a republic, not a commune.

I have subscribed to IBD for about 10 years for the investment information. They consistently have the worst, most distorted right wing editorial board of any paper. For a good investment paper, there editorials are insulting to thinking people.

It is difficult to listen to the other side of a point-of-view when you aren't interested in the truth as much as you are your loyalty to a political party.  That is more of a reflection on one's priorities than anything else.  It does require thinking to consider other people's point of view, so how are you insulted?

Yeah, to report an actual quote...can you believe that?  WTF?  Right wing distortions!  Why would thinking people want to know what a Barack actually says?  And have you noticed that the paper is white?  Hmmmm.    CHANGE!  HOPE! YES WE CAN!
